Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, realistic expectations.

Start here for practical information about evidence, reporting, privacy, and avoiding further loss.

Can you guarantee that my money will be recovered?

No. Recovery depends on the facts, payment route, elapsed time, jurisdiction, and decisions made by banks, platforms, regulators, or courts. Treat any guarantee as a warning sign.

What information should I prepare?

Keep payment receipts, bank statements, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, emails, chat exports, screenshots, contracts, phone numbers, website addresses, and a simple timeline.

Should I pay a tax or fee to release my funds?

Do not send another payment until the request has been independently verified. Demands for tax, insurance, gas, validation, or release fees are common parts of ongoing scams.

What if the payment was made very recently?

Contact your bank, card provider, exchange, or payment service immediately using a trusted number. Ask for the fraud team, explain what happened, and record the case reference.

Do you need my password or crypto seed phrase?

No. Equity Claims will never ask for a password, private key, seed phrase, one-time code, or remote access to your banking session.

What is a secondary recovery scam?

It is a second fraud aimed at an earlier victim. The scammer may claim to be a lawyer, investigator, regulator, hacker, or recovery firm and usually asks for an upfront payment.

How long does a case review take?

Timing depends on the volume and quality of evidence. We first confirm receipt, then identify missing information and explain the next appropriate step.

Is my enquiry confidential?

We use the information you provide to respond to the enquiry and manage the case. See the privacy notice for the categories, purposes, retention approach, and your rights.
